Choose 16F628 from the chip selector. Look for the following files in your NEW installation directory. K128 USERS Load the file called "diyk128.hex" K149-A USERS Load the file called "diyk149a.hex" K149-B or C USERS Load the file called "diyk149bc.hex" K150 USERS Load the file called "diyk150.hex" This package has the latest MicroPro.exe file included. It's PROTOCOL number is listed above. Look down into the EEPROM section of the file listing and make sure the build number matches. DO NOT PROCEED IF THE NUMBERS DO NOT MATCH. Press PROGRAM to program the chip. When completed, close MicroPro and then turn off the programmer power. Remove the 16F628 from the IC socket on the programmer board and replace it with the newly upgraded chip making sure it is placed correctly. ****************************************************************** K149-A USERS ONLY If you haven't done so already, you must now change the 4MHz crystal (X1) to a 6MHz type. A wire link must be placed on the underside of the PCB to enable the AutoProgram feature. MicroPro will attempt to match itself to your programmer board type. Your upgrade is now complete.
